Ferns that thrive in wetlands across America and Canada take pride in displaying the diverse landscape of Acadia. I briefly did some research prior to coming to the park and learned that John D. Rockefeller Jr. contributed 11,000 acres of land to the park, along with ferns making the list as part of that largess. So, seeing them in real life flourishing on the grounds of the park today reminded me of the generosity the visionary had in helping shape a future that generations could enjoy.
