This was the 58th National Park that I’ve explored throughout my life. Getting to this remote island of Ofu which is part of American Samoa was challenging but worth the effort. In addition to the spectacular beach, pristine coral reef, and fruit bats, this trip permitted me to ponder the US territories in the pacific and the meaning of being a US National rather than a US Citizen.
