I spent a month volunteering at “Lewi” and came in early one morning before anyone had arrived. The beauty of this historic replica, contrasted with the lush greenery of the Pacific North, made me pause and reflect on the expedition and their circumstances. And how, ultimately, this voyage was critical to westward expansion.
