A fur coat of angles and stripes provided good camouflage for this Least Chipmunk amid multi-colored rocks and boulders of a pull-off of the Beartooth Scenic Highway. The only reason I saw him was because my peripheral vision picked up movement on the rocks; but, he scurried so quickly and he was so small (about four inches long), it was hard to get a clear photo of him. Finally, he stopped one time long enough to decide which direction he was headed to next.
