On a recent trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, we climbed to the top of Clingmans Dome to catch the sunrise. It was very cloudy when we got to the top, and for most of the time we could not see much further than a few feet in front of us. That made the occasional glimpses of the scenery beyond even more rewarding. This image is one out of a time lapse series of the entire sunrise.
