The mining town of Kennicott went (overnight) from being the most technologically advanced town in Alaska to a virtual ghost town when the mine closed in 1939. Today the town and mine are part of the Wrangell St. Elias NP. As we walked through the town, I imagined the lives of the people who worked and lived there.
