Mono Lake is one of our great natural areas. Samuel Clemens said it was a horrible place to visit. I think the famous Tufa makes for great photography. This photo was taken in May 2018. Mono Lakes water level had dropped considerably for several years until an increase in rain and snow over the last two years raised the level. The California legislature has mandated a certain water level for Mono Lake but I don't think it has reached that level. I hope the water level continues to rise.
