"Pele Rising" Taken just before sunrise. Rough sea after a tropical storm. Bouncing up and down and moving in the darkness. Max frustration hand holding Nikon. After firing off 11 shots decided to stop and just enjoy the privilege of witnessing this amazing event. Days later I was amazed to see this image slowly unfold out of the lava. I have always had a respect for the culture and beliefs of the Hawaiian people. I am continually astounded by their acceptance of change bringing growth.
