Driftwood on Beach. The Gulf Shore National Seashore is a beautiful place to visit. About 11 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico is Ship Island. I found this piece of driftwood as I walked the beach this awesome seashore and wondered where did it come from? I am on an island in the Gulf of Mexico. If it could talk, what journey would it reveal?
