The wild flowers display vibrant colors on the Aqua Fria National Monument north of Phoenix, AZ. The native peoples made there homes of the volcanic rock as seen in the foreground. The BLM has named these people the Perry Mesa Tradition. No one knows why this culture has vanished 700-1000 years ago.
