Moonset, Rio Grande National Forest: This image was taken in September 2018 about 12 miles north of Del Norte, CO. in Saguauche County. I originally planned the morning to photograph a historic church a couple mines away with moon setting behind the church (which I did). As I was leaving I noticed the moon setting just above the foothills of the National Forest and got out to capture this image. I used a Nikon D800 camera with a 28-300 mm Nikkor lens.
