I was hoping to see more birds when I was hiking at Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, but I was there during an intense heat wave, so I don't blame the birds for wanting to hide in the shade! I did get to see the most adorable chipmunks though, and chipmunks are one of my favorite animals, so that's good enough for me!
